FREE - Federal Resources for Education Excellence FREE provides teaching and learning resources from federal agencies in various subjects.
National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), located within the U.S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences, is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.
Annually, NCES posts the most recent annual report on nationwide high school drop-out data, which includes data broken down by state, region, school district size, and several student characteristics. Access this year's report.
ERIC - Education Resources Information Center ERIC provides free access to more than 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials and, if available, includes links to full text. ERIC is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES).

Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) Report The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a system of international assessments that focus on 15-year-olds' capabilities in reading literacy, mathematics literacy, and science literacy. PISA is organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), an intergovernmental organization of industrialized countries. PISA also includes measures of general or cross-curricular competencies such as learning strategies. PISA is administered every 3 years. The most recent administration was in 2006 and focused on science literacy. Results are now available at the link above.
