Through our annual National Dreamer Service Day, Dreamers across the globe participate in a community service project organized around a single theme. The goals of Dreamer Service Day are:
-
To encourage community service and civic participation;
-
To introduce new educational opportunities and career options to Dreamers;
-
To enhance the intellectual, personal, and social development of Dreamers;
-
To promote unity and partnership within the "I Have A Dream" network; and
-
To make a difference in each participating community.
Our most recent Dreamer Service Day took place in conjunction with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 21, 2008 in partnership with Children For Children. With the support of the Citigroup Foundation, more than 600 Dreamers, friends and family joined together to celebrate the legacy of our namesake through a day of meaningful service and leadership. |
