The "I Have A Dream" Program Staff Conference is an annual gathering of staff members from across the country. The conference offers staff the chance to connect with their colleagues, share best practices, and engage in meaningful professional development sessions led by internal and external facilitators. Typically, the Staff Conference is held on a college campus in order to learn from college admissions officers, professors, and department leaders about what it takes to truly prepare our Dreamers for college success. Staff members receive pre-readings that complement the workshops they will attend and receive ongoing support throughout the year in order to follow up on sessions. In years past, these sessions have addressed issues such as college preparation, family and community engagement, resources for undocumented Dreamers, and resources for families living in poverty.

Staff members leave the conference feeling refreshed, energized, and ready to implement what they have learned. They return home armed with the tools needed to continue driving towards success with their Dreamers.

The 2010 Annual Staff Conference will take place at Marquette University, Wisconsin from August 5 - 8, 2010. Nearly 40 staff members from programs across the U.S. will come together to find out what it takes to ensure that college is a reality for their Dreamers.
